Two new members are required for the 2012/13 Heritage Committee & Foundation.

Task Description:
- One monthly joint meeting of Committee and Foundation. on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, at 3 pm.
- Participation in subcommittee activities, attendance at sponsored events, participation in annual conferences or work shops

Willingness to work in an executive or organizational capacity are important assets.

Please apply in writing to Oak Bay Mayor Causton & Council for consideration for appointment. Include a CV of your heritage related experience & special interests. (Interests might, for example, include knowledge of: Community history (people and events); Built, landscape and natural heritage sites; Architectural history and building styles; Heritage preservation, restoration and conservation methods; Local government heritage legislation and tools. Commitment: members serve on both the Committee and Foundation.)

Old Cemeteries Society Tours tours are ongoing and organized around a variety of themes and topics.

Location:
Meet at 1:45 pm in front of Starbucks Coffee, Fairfield Plaza, 1516 Fairfield Rd. Others start where noted.
Time:
The tour starts at 2:00 pm.
Charge:
The charge is $5 for non-members; $2 for members. No reservations needed.
